Long-eared Owl in Wisconsin on December 8, 2025

One of my birding stops today gave nice views of a Long-eared Owl, in Wisconsin. It was a cold day with temps around 20 degrees, small amounts of sun at times. Image was taken on December 8, 2025.

Wow, Jim that is a very clear picture. The one time while birding with a couple of friends in Milwaukee, the LEOW was hiding in the dense thicket and never moved. That’s how that works sometimes! Thanks for sharing.
