While out birding I came across a couple of Long-eared Owls just perched pretty. I took a couple of quick photos and off I went. It was a cloudy day with light winds and mild temperatures for mid December around 34 degrees. Images were taken on December 14, 2024.

Very nice photos Jim. I also walk in the woods, but don’t see the owls. I do hear two of them at night outside our home, but they seem to be hunting and are gone in the morning. They whoo whoo back and forth and are fun to listen to.

    Spectacular as always!!
