A beautiful Snowy Owl gave stunning views today in Milwaukee County. This young female sat and took it easy most of the time I was present other than a few times it took to the sky and went to a new location. It was a chilly day with a lot of wind at times, seemed a lot colder than the mid 40’s with sunny skies. Images were taken on January 13, 2026.

Nice flight shots Jim. I have problems focusing on my dragons in the air. Can be frustrating. Thanks again for the heads up, I was able to get some nice ground shots. A first for me. I haven’t seen one since I was a kid in Manitowoc in the 50’s.
Mr. Edlhuber; One of my personal favorites about your posts is that you tell us where the photographs were taken, but you don’t tell us where they were taken. Thereby keeping the location of the birds a bit more secure. It’s really enough for me to see all your fabulous photos and to know the birds are there. Thank you for that.
